Our First Thank You Letter from Iraq

Dear United For The Troops,

I am SPC Elizabeth Lynch, currently deployed to Iraq… I just received 13 packages from you guys and i cannot say how much I (and all the soldiers in my unit) Appreciate it. I definitely am spreading the wealth around to the other soldiers. I cannot thank you enough for your incredible generosity and support. It means so much. Please let everyone in your community who donated that the 10th press camp headquarters appreciates everything that was donated. So incredible to have the support and I loved the cards from the Kids… So cute! Those types of things really brighten my day. In your letter i read that your son was deployed here with the 82nd, our unit is also out of Fort Bragg (home of the 82nd), its a great place to be

Thanks for All of Your Hard Work This Year!

Thank You from the bottom of our hearts to all of you for your support and service this year. On Saturday we were able to pack 550 needed gift box’s and send them out to our service men and women. All of this is a tribute to your concern and community service.

If you were there on Saturday you know what a good feeling this day brings to so many, both home and abroad. It was not just a box when it left here. Each box was sent with hard work and love from the young and the not so young.

In what has become a yearly tradition for United for the Troops, we welcome you to join us for an evening of good cheer and great intentions as we raise money to help support this year’s operation. All of the money raised goes directly to helping the troops, every dime. In the past four years we have been able to send over 3,000 gift boxes to our men and women in the military and this annual event has been one of our strongest assets in getting donations to make it all happen.

So grab some friends and family members and join us for food, music, prizes and plenty of fun. We are all hoping for another great turn out. Thank you in advance for your support.

We received the letters and packages you sent us. And I must say, WOW! We are over flowing with goodies and thank you letters. Most of the things that are sent to us are used up fairly quickly.

I just wanted to say thank you for sending those types of things to us out here on deployment. It means so much to us when we see the love and appreciation from folks back home. Thanks to everyone who took time out of their days to write to us and to send us much needed, or wanted , items.

My name is Steven Kennan and I’m in the Navy working out here on deployment to Afghanistan. I’m a Chaplain’s Assistant working with Marine Wing Support Squadon 373 (MWSS 373). I wanted to send you an email on behalf of the Marines and Sailors out here who may have received packages from you.
